Legendary Jewelry

ArenaNet gave us quite a treat by releasing not one (1) but two (2) legendary trinkets for dedicated players to create while under this planet-wide quarantine. Conflux is the World-vs-World ring while Transcendence is the Player-vs-Player Amulet. Today we are going to be examining the costs associated with creating these legendaries in the same manner we did in the legendary armor series.

Transcendence

The Slumbering Transcendence page on the wiki has a lovely breakdown on the material costs so it won’t be repeated here – except to note the extraordinary or unusual costs. There are two (2) for Transcendence:

Win 120 matches during a PvP season - the wording is a bit unclear.  We believe that this is winning 120 matches WHILE there is an active PvP season.
Win 20 tournament matches. (Both listed under PvP Conquerer)

Needless to say, this is going to be most difficult. While 20 tournament matches does not seem like a lot. However, it is more than just joining a PvP tournament – it is actually winning one of those matches. Unlike normal ranked PvP matches, these matches are going to have players at the upper echelon of the PvP division – so expect to find players ranked well above your play level. Should we mention that for this upcoming season, just about everyone is going to be going after Transcendence? So expect more chaos, verbal abuse and just plain nastiness for this upcoming season.

On a weirder note, we’ve also heard rumors of match fixing services for players who wish to bypass this requirement. Sadly, in this day and age we need to mention to readers not to utilize or even entertain the thought of using such a service.

This is also going to lead to one frustrating PvP season – season 21.

Conflux

On the other hand, Conflux does not have any such time-limitations. One doesn’t have to wait for a season to begin to begin the journey of crafting Conflux. However, Conflux has its own costs:

Defeat 100 players.
Capture 100 objectives. (Both listed under World vs World)

Defeating 100 players should not be too difficult. Get into a nice zerg on the weekend and over time this should be achieved. Same with the 100 objectives. Zergs should not have too much trouble capturing objectives and some of these can even be solo-able.

But the real cost is those skirmish tickets – 1,850 for the War Commendation and an additional 350 for the Mist Band (Infused). Ouch.

So now that you know the real costs – plan accordingly.

Bottom Line – should you decide to undergo this quest, we’d recommend getting the most difficult parts done first. This way those partial components do not get lost, get applied to something else or just take up precious inventory space.
